During the
upcoming school holidays Emma
Mezga and Max Bennett will trade textbooks for hiking boots as they travel to
Papua New Guinea as part of the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program.
Papua New Guinea
is a spiritually, emotionally rewarding place walking in the footsteps of our
Aussie soldiers who bravely defended Australia in 1942. While trekking their
way through the mud, water, slippery tree roots across the difficult terrain
they will see some of the most beautiful landscapes Papua New Guinea has to
offer passing through some famous land marks and battle sites including the
home of the famous four pillars: Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice at
the Isurava battlefield.
We wish them all the best on their brave and amazing adventure.
