Overview

STEM increases the focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in education to drive innovation. By developing on these knowledge and skills sets, students can make a positive difference in the world through creativity and innovation. The Information Services department is well positioned, due to its deep engagement in the ever-changing field of technology, to lead STEM engagement.
Education Queensland published a discussion paper Towards a 10-year plan for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education and skills in Queensland. The Information Services department has used this document to inform the following STEM foci that have been embedded in our curriculum.
