Mount Gravatt High's Instrumental Music cohort has been growing each year with Music Extension and Music Excellence classes, Junior Jazz, Wind, Strings and Brass Ensembles, Concert and Stage Bands. Matt Fellows, Instrumental Music Teacher, said the students contribute every day to the cultural life of our school community, performing at school and community events.

Students were pleasantly surprised to arrive at school in Term 3 to find state of the art safe storage for their much-loved instruments.

The new instrumental music bags racks, funded through a Local Schools Community Fund Grant and supported by Ross Vasta MP, Federal Member for Bonner were installed over the holidays.

Today, Mount Gravatt Principal Ross Robertson met with Ross Vasta MP to thank him for his support. Ross Vasta commented on the quality of the bag racks, which were locally built by local manufactures, saying the bag racks would be part of the Instrumental Music department for many years to come.
