School Enrolment Management Plan
Mount Gravatt State High School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school’s catchment area.
Because of enrolment capacity and growth, Mount Gravatt State High School may be unable to meet this obligation in the future unless action is taken to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict the enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school without requiring additional facilities.
Eligible students include:
- Students residing in-catchment.
- Students residing out-of-catchment but subject to conditions outlined in the Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) and the Department of Education's Enrolment policy External link.
- Siblings of current students enrolled at the school. A sibling is defined as residing at the same address and having a common parent record in OneSchool or other documentary evidence.
- Students whose parent or legal guardian is employed by the school.
- Students who have been exluded from a school, if approved by the Regional Director.
