Mount Gravatt High Athletics Carnival is held each year by our Health Sciences Faculty, the carnival is run over two days and is held on the school oval.
Day One; students descend on the oval to compete in field events including shot put, discus, javelin, high jump, triple and long jump.
Day Two; is a whole school carnival where the main focus is our running races. Students spend the day competing and participating in a range of events to gain points for their houses: Attunga (yellow), Kittani (blue), Manooka (red) and Turramurra (green).
Students who perform well on the day also have the opportunity to compete in higher level competition against other schools at a later date.
A highlight of the day is our novelty events, where students compete for house points, which have included house vs house tug-o-war and dance off.
Lunch is also on offer with a fundraising BBQ held by our Student Representative Council.
