As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, Mount Gravatt High students recently attended Sheltering by Bangarra Dance Theatre at the Glasshouse Theatre.
This powerful and thought-provoking performance showcased Bangarra's distinctive contemporary movement style, weaving together First Nations storytelling, culture, music and design to create a truly moving theatrical experience.
Throughout NAIDOC Week, our First Nations students also participated in a range of activities at school, including a painting workshop that celebrated culture, creativity and connection. These experiences provided students with meaningful opportunities to engage with and celebrate First Nations histories, cultures and perspectives.
