As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, Mount Gravatt High students recently attended Sheltering by Bangarra Dance Theatre at the Glasshouse Theatre.
This powerful and thought-provoking performance showcased Bangarra's distinctive contemporary movement style, weaving together First Nations storytelling, culture, music and design to create a truly moving theatrical experience.
Throughout NAIDOC Week, our First Nations students also participated in a range of activities at school, including a painting workshop that celebrated culture, creativity and connection. These experiences provided students with meaningful opportunities to engage with and celebrate First Nations histories, cultures and perspectives.
We thank everyone who helped make our NAIDOC Week celebrations so special and look forward to seeing our students continue to draw inspiration from these experiences in both their learning and creative pursuits. 💛🖤❤️
