Music at Mount Gravatt High School
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Instrumental Music at Mount Gravatt State High school
provides students the opportunity to receive tuition on a musical instrument from
the following families in a group setting, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion and
Strings.
Skills learned are then developed through weekly
participation in a variety of both large and small ensembles. Each child is
placed in one compulsory core ensemble, Concert band or String ensemble.
Students are then encouraged to participate in a Jazz or small ensemble.
Throughout the year ensembles will participate in a wide variety
of events including;
Weekly Rehearsal Times
All students participate in at least one weekly rehearsal before or after school. Please refer to the table below for 2026 rehearsal times.
